Why I Created This Program

Hi, I’m Michelle Garbutt.

I’m a holistic counsellor, transformation coach, meditation teacher and someone who has lived with Ulcerative Colitis for 30 years.  For 20 years I experienced flares, symptoms, medications, hospital admissions and the challenges that many people living with chronic illness understand all too well.

In 2016, after experiencing a severe flare, I decided it was time to explore a different way of supporting myself.

Like many people, I had heard the advice: “Try to manage your stress.” or “Stress can impact your condition.”

But nobody explained how.

I decided it was time to explore and understand this advice more.  Within a year I achieved clinical remission, my symptoms disappeared and my medication was reduced.

Over the past 10 years I have experienced only one flare and spend most of my life symptom-free.

This program shares many of the foundations and tools that supported me on that journey.

While this program was inspired by my personal experience with IBD, the tools taught throughout the course can support anyone looking to better understand stress and create more calm, balance and resilience in their life.
